Collision Coffee is the term often used for the traditional Indonesian way of brewing coffee called Kopi Tubruk. This method of brewing coffee has been used for many years and provides a brew that can often be stronger than any other brew method. Here’s a quick how-to on brewing traditional Collision Coffee:
Step 1:
Choose a Robusta coffee, as Robusta blends as opposed to Arabica blends are what’s traditionally used. Grind the coffee into a coarse grind.
Step 2:
Measure out 2 tbs of coffee per every cup of water you will boil. Then boil your water. Add coffee directly into boiling water. Allow to boil for 2 minutes.
Step 3:
Divide boiled coffee into serving cups. Add any sweetener or creamer desired before allowing coffee to rest. Allow coffee to rest until coffee grounds have settled to the bottom. E
